Private insurance and don't want to wait for 6 hours in a hospital ER? Outpatient ER centers are popping up everywhere, but they are not all alike. I work next door to one, and my company does imaging for their company. These people are wonderful, and conscientious. My husband and I have both been patients and I have scanned (MRI) and x-rayed their patients. I've also watched them save more than one life. Be careful who you choose for your ER care, make sure everyone that works on you is an MD or is registered in their field, ie, nurses and imaging personnel. You'd be surprised to find how many of these places are staffed improperly.
