Texas Blows is my entry for this year's "open call" to artists at the Art Car Museum: Texas Green. The exhibit will run mid November 2008 - mid February 2009.
My friend Dan Irwin cut out the TX for me. I painted it and attached a really cool little LED propeller in the area of TX where the most development of wind energy is currently taking place. When you blow on the propeller, it lights up little blue and green LEDs at the back of the propeller - see the pictures! Texas is the wind energy capital of the United States, therefore, the piece is appropriately named, Texas Blows.
