My experience with this company in May 2006 was SO bad! Don't find yourself in this situation, use someone else! I purchased an internet package with the HD/DVR box, installation and a guarantee that the product would work to my satifaction by ATT. At the time, ATT and Direct TV were just getting into bed with each other. I was shopping PHONE companies and found they offered a great deal when you buy a package of phone, internet and cable, was assured the dsl would actually be faster than cable internet and it all came with free installation and a guarantee to work to my satisfaction. They didn't tell me about hidden charges, like $5.95 per month for a phone line hook up so they can monitor my activity, or that if I didn't get a bundle package, the rates on all their products go up tremendously. The channel switching delay between local stations and satelite TV was soooo slow... Too slow. I missed Comcast! I had hours of phone conversations with Direct TV who wouldn't budge. They said they'd ruin my credit when I told them I would not be paying for a service or products I was not using and asked them to come get their products. They threatened to charge me for the box I had, but
twice sent me boxes to return their merchandise that the HD/DVR box
wouldn't fit in. I still have the "$750" box now, and their antenna! I filed a complaint with the BBB and got all my money back, but it took hours in many days and Direct TV was very impolite. Direct TV is displayed as having an unresolved issue on the BBB. That is me.
Don't use this company. I have boycotted all companies associated with Direct TV and ATT, I do not use any of their companies, if I can help it.
